Top Weekly Crypto Gainers: VIRTUAL, Zcash, Dash, TRUMP, TAO Surge

The five biggest gainers among the top-100 cryptocurrencies by market cap from October 25 to November 1 were Virtuals Protocol (VIRTUAL), Zcash (ZEC), Dash (DASH), OFFICIAL TRUMP (TRUMP), and Bittensor (TAO). The rally was led by AI-linked tokens and renewed interest in privacy coins, with several project-specific catalysts also in play.

VIRTUAL, the token of Virtuals Protocol for building autonomous AI agents on the Base network, jumped more than 70% over the week. The move coincided with broader strength across AI-related cryptocurrencies and heightened attention around the development of the x402 standard, designed to automate payments between AI agents.

Zcash extended a rally that began in late September, with ZEC up more than 1,000% over the past six weeks. The privacy-focused cryptocurrency continued to attract momentum traders, while fellow privacy coin Dash also broke into the week’s leaders despite a lack of notable project-specific news, benefiting from broader interest in anonymous transactions.

The OFFICIAL TRUMP (TRUMP) memecoin rose 38% week-over-week amid media reports that the token’s developer is in talks to acquire crowdfunding platform Republic, where the token could potentially be integrated. Despite the rebound, TRUMP remains about 90% below its all-time high.

Bittensor’s TAO gained 35% during the period, helped by renewed demand for AI tokens and anticipation of a planned reduction in token emissions scheduled for December.

All five tokens rank within the top-100 by market capitalization and posted the strongest seven-day percentage gains among that cohort.

Looking ahead, traders will watch whether momentum in AI and privacy coins persists, and if upcoming tokenomics events—such as TAO’s emission changes—translate into sustained market interest.
