Ethereum Developers Deploy Fusaka Hard Fork on Hoodi Testnet, Mainnet Target Dec. 3

Ethereum developers have successfully deployed the Fusaka hard fork on the Hoodi testnet, marking the final stage before mainnet activation. The mainnet rollout is preliminarily targeted for December 3.

The testnet activation allows client teams, validators, and infrastructure providers to verify network behavior in a live environment, check cross-client compatibility, and address any edge cases before enabling the upgrade on the Ethereum mainnet. Testnet hard forks are a standard step used to validate implementation completeness and operational readiness across the ecosystem.

While specific technical changes for Fusaka were not disclosed, the successful deployment on Hoodi indicates that core client implementations are prepared for broader rollout, pending stable testnet performance. Stakeholders, including node operators and service providers, are advised to monitor client release notes and upgrade guides as the target date approaches.

If testing on Hoodi remains stable, the Fusaka upgrade is expected to go live on Ethereum’s mainnet on December 3. Timelines may adjust based on testing outcomes and final readiness assessments.
